The officers would like to personally thank you for accepting the chairmanship of your respective committee. I always state that the backbone of CVVFA is fine committee work done by our folks. We must continue that tradition and renew the dedication required to perform our goals for the coming year.

The Officers have selected some special goals to accomplish in addition to the mandated duties within the by-laws. These are listed below for your actions. We are requesting that all committees hold an organizational meeting before the October booster meeting to establish your committee goals and set the theme for this upcoming year of TEAMWORK.

Audit: Conduct the annual audit at the end of the fiscal year in preparation for the auditor. Look at the by-laws reference the audit being done before convention.

Constitution & By-Laws: Look into printing in the form of a pocket type book.

Convention: Review the parade trophy list, some trophies were not presented at last convention.

Fire Prevention & Education: Update or create a database of vendors where fire prevention material can be gotten free by our membership.

Memorial: Look into making/purchasing a floral arrangement designed such as the CVVFA logo for display during the Memorial service.

Public Relations: Develop a public safety announcement to be distributed to radio stations in reference to protecting our personnel during highway incidents.

Publicity: Publish an article in the Maryland Fire Dispatch newspaper on the activities within CVVFA.

Resolutions: Develop a more presentable resolutions form using some graphic artist work.

Scholarship: Put together a directory of students who have received financial support from the CVVFA.

Budget & Finance: Establish a projected budget for the next 3 - 5 years.

Business & Operations Plan: Finalize the document for approval at convention.

Emergency Responder Institute: Conduct a summit to review and update the white paper on highway safety.

Presidential Assistance: Co-ordinate the hospitality at all the CVVFA meetings.

Recruitment/Retention: Increase membership by 100 this year.

Surplus/Procurement: Co-ordinate with the state associations who have surplus equipment and those buying bulk purchases to our member companies.
