ResponderSafety.com comes through for PIO’s during National Traffic Incident Response Week!
In concert with National Traffic Incident Response Week, ResponderSafety.com has launched a new page specifically for public information officers (PIOs) and public educators to get the message out to the public about the dangers distracted and careless drivers pose to emergency responders operating on the roadway. The page is available now at respondersafety.com/PIO.
Every year, dozens of responders from fire, law enforcement, EMS, DOT, safety service patrols, and towing and recovery are killed and many more injured when they are struck by passing vehicles at roadway incidents. These deaths and injuries are preventable. The public education materials found at respondersafety.com/PIO help make the public our partners in reducing the dangers to emergency responders who are working roadway incidents. These materials include video PSAs, media advisory templates, downloadable resources including a push card, backgrounders, an infographic, and much more. These resources will help PIOs and public educators communicate messages like Move Over Slow Down, Move It (Fender Bender laws), and anti-distracted driving.
Stop by the page today to download resources to educate your community on how to protect the protectors! This week and every week, we’re all in this together
