Chief Allen Baldwin, First VP of the CVVFA has accepted a position as Operations Deputy in Stafford County VA effective December 17, 2018. Allen leaves Winchester after five and one half years of service. Members of the Winchester FD expressed their disappointment that Allen was leaving. The opportunity to work in a larger jurisdiction and a new challenge were the motivating factors in the decision to move according to the Vice President.
Allen indicates he intends to run for CVVFA President in 2019 and looks forward to supporting the the organization from his new position in Stafford County. Allen was a volunteer in Monroeville PA, a career chief in Chambersburg PA, a volunteer chief in Gettysburg and the traffic incident manager on the PA Turnpike System before accepting the chief’s job in Winchester.
Stafford County Fire and Rescue Chief Joseph Cardello stated “Allen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, and he will be a tremendous asset to our department as we grow in the coming years. We’re very excited to welcome Allen and his family to Stafford County”.
