Dr. Candice McDonald Elected President of the CVVFA

Dr. Candice McDonald a volunteer firefighter and EMT from Salem Ohio was elected CVVFA President at the 121st Annual Convention in Williamsport MD. Candice is the Deputy CEO of the National Volunteer Fire Council. She has an extensive public safety background as a sworn federal law enforcement officer, and a nationally known motivational speaker on fire service issues. Candice is an active responder at her own volunteer fire department in Salem OH. Candice’s husband Travis is an emergency room nurse, they have three grown children. Candice earned a doctorate in business administration with a specialty in  homeland security. She is an adjunct professor at Eastern Gateway Community College. She serves on the FDIC/Fire Engineering Advisory Board and is a trustee for Women in Fire. She is the first female President of the CVVFA.
