Passing of Chaplain Charles Barnhart

It is with profound sadness that the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association shares the news that Chaplain Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. passed from this world to the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, April 8, 2024.  As the world was watching the passing of the moon in front of the sun during the eclipse, Charlie was passing from this earth and into the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Charlie served as the Chaplain for Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company, Chaplain for the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association, Chaplain with the Maryland State Firemen’s Association, and Chaplain for the Cumberland Valley Firefighters Association.

Deacon Barnhart Pastored the Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church in Keymar, Maryland.

Visitation is Thursday, April 18, at Keysville Lutheran Church,7301 Keysville Rd, Keymar, MD  3 until 7 p.m. Funeral Service, Friday, April 19 at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St, Westminster, MD 21157 at 11 am.
