About Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association
Over One hundred years ago, fire chiefs from the States of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia met in Chambersburg, PA for the purpose of adopting a uniform hose coupling and to develop a mutual aid system along the Cumberland Valley Railroad. Today, the CVVFA connects experts from around the country and develops new training and resources for firefighters and the entire responder community.

One Million Hours of Online Training Delivered by the RSLN Platform
The Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association (CVVFA) and the Emergency Responder Safety Institute (ERSI) are proud to announce a major milestone in responder safety education: the Responder Safety Learning Network (RSLN) has officially surpassed 1,000,000 hours of training delivered to emergency responders.

Registration is Open for the 2025 Convention
The CVVFA Convention is scheduled from Wednesday, July 30 through Saturday, August 2. Our host is the Citizens Fire Company of Newport, PA who will be celebrating their 100th anniversary and have a full week of events scheduled for those who want to come early.
