Community Risk Reduction

The Community Risk Reduction Committee of CVVFA strives to promote a year-round Community Risk Reduction and Public Education programs. The committee has developed a database of public safety messages for use help aid in the promotion of these safety messages.

What is Community Risk Reduction (CRR)?

CRR is a multi-stakeholder process used to identify risk factors unique to your community and mitigate them using a coordinated, strategic approach. NFPA 1300 provides a more in-depth look at CRR.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 3,000 people were killed by distracted drivers in 2023. Distracted driving is not only a risk to others on the road but also to first responders working on the roadways.
